Tenchi Musaki The main character (well no friggen duh..)and the object of the girls' affections.

Ryoko One of the many girls who live in Tenchi's house (also has a crush on him). Ryoko is the trouble maker of the house hold, often playing trick on Aeka and popping in on Tenchi without announcement. Depending on the series, she is either just a space pirate or a creation of Washu used for evil purposes. She doesn't mind being nakey in front of Tenchi (They put a swimsuit on her for the televised episodes).

Aeka Another of the many girls who live in Tenchi's house (also has a crush on him). This princess of the Jurai Royal family and Ryoko are always fighting for the love of Tenchi.

Washu One of the many girls who live in Tenchi's house (also has a crush on him). Washu is the household genius. Though she too has a crush on Tenchi, most of her time goes into her expieraments..which usually end up..well...

Sesami Little sister of Aeka and Ryo-ohki's best friend. She is supposedly the youngest girl in the household, but still likes Tenchi. However she is not completely the real Sesami. She had merged with Tsunami in order to survive a bad fall when she was young and is a mix of the two.

Kiyone A member of the Galaxy Police and Mihoshi's partner. She doesn't spend quite as much time at the house as the rest of the girls. She takes her police work very seriously.

Mihoshi The perfect dumb blonde stereotype. Mihoshi is a ditz flat out. One would wonder how she got into the Galaxy Police(Lets just say shes got hook ups). Also likes Tenchi.

Ryo-ohki A cabbit (mix between rabbit and cat) with a love for carrots and Ken-ohki (probably the only girl in the house that doesn't have a crush on Tenchi). Depending on the series she is either partially one with Ryoko and a creation of Washu (has the ability to turn humanoid and there is no Ken-ohki.) or one of a breed of creatures. Either way she can become a large battle ship.
